Photo bomb

So many things happening lately updates still seem slow, but the bikes are getting closer. Shooting for a late March finishing date, but in reality we'll never be finished. We are constantly upgrading our tools and hopefully our skills. I purchased pipe plans for the RD400 from Vanguard Cycles, of course the patterns are only the first step, cutting and rolling all the pieces has proven to be a tough skill to master, but we are learning a lot and it certainly gives us an appreciation of the talent and time it takes to create 2-stroke pipes. We purchased a slip roll from summit racing to handle the rolling of the cones and 20+ header pieces that will make up these pipes. Stay tuned for more updates as we get the patterns back from the laser cutter. Well now for a "few" photos of our collective work...
 Skye chamfered his shift drum.
Cutting adapters for the carb manifolds on the H1, no fancy millwork here. Yet...
The drum brake push rod, turned out pretty nice.
Freshly cleaned/blasted cylinders for the triple.
Skye welding up the tail section of the RD.
Made an aluminum pan for all the wiring on the SR500, Skye and his tig skills are killing it...

Stripping down the once running RD for a little transformation...

Cut out the old and ugly center brace, installed a new clean brace.

Penny and Sage wondering why we spend so much time on these damn bikes?

 Mustache.

The new tail section, man I hope all the cool kids like my cafe bike, maybe I'll put a Pabst sticker on it, or a bird...

 Oh ya motor teardown!
Hard to believe it ran only a few days earlier.

 Organized chaos.
Oh did I mention why the motor was being torn down? Because some jackass didn't know how to put the clips on properly...
The street tracker project, and you thought you would never see it again...

 Pretty tidy.
 Footpeg bracket.

 America, fuck ya!
 Measuring the bore is boring.

Dales R5 fires right up anytime we need our exhaust smell fix.
Cutting the patterns out is tedious work, we are using a laser cutter for the final pipes but we wanted to do it the hard way by hand first, it's hard.
Silencers, RD400 on the left and H1 on the right.
Our fancy new sliproller, and yes we love America and if you don't like it than you can just get out(read in redneck voice for full effect, also helps to be drinking some Budweiser).
Ground, and mounting bung for SR, Skye is getting pretty good with that AC setting.

 On/off.
How we used to cut sheet metal, and how we do it now thanks to a generous donation from a nameless friend... ''cough, cough''
Extending the SR pipe for better routing.
 Not bad eh?
Skye cleaned his cases and now he has carpel tunnel...
 Uh Braaaaaaap... ''cough, cough''
Brake push rod now with bends!
Bronze filler is going to look pretty on my pipes.
Until next time, keep the rubber side down.
